Wilco offering preview of new album, ‘The Whole Love,’ for 24 hours, so quit wasting time and start streaming

Jeff Tweedy recording in the Wilco Loft in Chicago. (by Zoran Orlic via wilcoworld.net)

I’m about 10 minutes into listening to The Whole Love, Wilco’s eighth studio album, and I’m already ready to declare it the best thing the Chicago band has done since Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Jeff Tweedy & Co. seem to have recaptured a vibrancy and an adventurous spirit that’s always defined their best work. Like I said in my write-up on the first single “I Might,” I haven’t been this excited about being a Wilco fan in years.

The album is streaming for 24 hours only at wilcoworld.net, so what are you doing reading this two-bit blog when you could be listening to it for yourself?

The Whole Love is due to be released Sept. 27 on the band’s very own, brand new label, dBpm Records.
