About that title …

Yeah, I’m a huge fan of The Decemberists. The title of this blog is a reference to their song, “Grace Cathedral Hill”:

And the world may be long for you

Are you feeling better now?

Hey, I was looking for something catchy that captured my interests and vaguely referenced San Francisco, and “Knee-Deep in the Hoopla” was already taken.

While I’d like to tell you that I also consciously wanted to reference the Tower of Power song from Back to Oakland and the famous bookstore in North Beach, those are happy coincidences.
