A Few More Photos From Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, 10.07.12, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

People in San Francisco sure do like their free music festivals. With all the crowds at this year’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, it was tough getting close enough to any stage to snap a decent photo with my little smartphone. I guess I either need to invest in one of them fancy telephoto lenses or start muscling some hippies out of the way to position myself in the front row.

At any rate, I did take a few more photos of the festival on Sunday, Oct. 7. Enjoy them in all their hardly in focus, strictly distant glory.

Just a little after noon and a huge crowd has already assembled at the Star Stage, listening to L.A. rockabilly band The Knitters.

New Orleans brassy funk band Soul Rebels. They were playing "Hip Hop Hooray" one minute, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" the next.
That's bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley in the grey suit (with The Clinch Mountain Boys). You'll have to take my word for it.
